Blue-Black
Where True Blue-Black Begins
The Rare Cold-Tone Lineage
The Blue-Black lane represents the rarest expression in our pigment program: a deep, cold-toned black carrying a natural blue cast. This lane is defined by clarity, contrast, and structural consistency — a phenotype that stands apart from warm blacks, browns, and charcoal-based patterns.
At Plateau Breeze Ranch, this expression is reflected in PBR B Divine Blueberry, NPA Striking Midnight, NPA Nora, and PBR Scout’s Magical McLaren — the core of our true blue-black lineup. Their coats carry the unmistakable icy undertone that anchors the lane both visually and genetically. They are the blueprint for Blue-Black, and the standard against which future offspring are measured.
While our black-based alpacas contribute the architecture, density, and pattern clarity that support this lane, only these four express the full cold-tone phenotype. Their images appear here to define the lane’s identity, highlight its rarity, and guide future breeding decisions.
Blue-Black is not simply a color — it is a structural lane, a direction, and a goal. This group is where that story begins.
