Scout contributes the dominant pattern gene responsible for mosaic melanocyte suppression, shifting dilution zones, and the ability to express multiple colors—white, fawn, brown, silver grey, rose grey, and true black—within a single fleece. Her dam, PBR Absolut’s Black Magic Charm, does not carry the harlequin/appaloosa allele herself, but she brings the Lionel/Black Epic/Magnifico color-depth and dilution modifiers that make pattern expression bolder, darker, and more chaotic when the allele is inherited from the sire.
