Although I try hard not to take them for granted, the R Creek's Legendary Eclipse crias are so consistent that I am never surprised at the quality level. PBR Eclipse's Island Girl comes by her name honestly and is a true beauty in every sense of the word. The consistent character and density only match the supple handle and brightness of the fleece. The pedigree of this female is also second to none. Her certificate boasts the likes of Quechua, Snowmass Hemingway XX, Snowmass Artic Blue, and Hemingway on the top and NPA Peruvian Orion Suave, Black Epic, Caligula and CPeruvian Silvino on the bottom. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG with PBR Eclipse's Island Girl's parents coming from a popular ranch, North Plains Alpacas. And GEEZ... Fawn girl with long, luscious black eyelashes? Wow!
R Creek's Legendary Eclipse, PBR Eclipse's Island Girl's sire, is a true black male with the fleece characteristics of a light animal! He has grown into an outstanding young male, and we couldn't be more excited about his future as a legendary herd sire. Eclipse's biopsy at 48 months is a 150X scan showing fibre clusters uniformly in shape and placement within the connective tissue. He grades an actual density of 74.5 follicles SQ MM. His biopsy skin thickness calibrates 2.4 mm with six fiber clusters in the S/P view that show an S/P of 13.1 to 1. Twenty-five typical clusters show an average S/P of 13.4 to 1. He shows level 4 of 4 glands. One hundred regular secondary fibers averaged 18.1 microns, while 50 typical primary fibers averaged 25.3 microns for a variation of 7.2 microns. These stats figure an AFD of only 18.63 microns. These are fantastic fiber stats for a mature black huacaya male.
Sitting pretty with gorgeous and bright fiber, NPA Peruvian Senja (PBR Eclipse's Island Girl's dam) has fiber stats in 2019, 15.8 microns, SD 3.8, CV 24.4. They are incredible, but not because she doesn't deserve it. Her sire has some of the industry's brightest and most dense fibers. NPA Peruvian Senja isn't just a stunning daughter of NPA Peruvian Orion Suave but is also the granddaughter of S&L Peruvian Bandito, the son of the famous Black Epic. Senja will indeed have gorgeous crias in her future, considering her bloodlines that blend Black Magic, 5Peruvian Klassique Grey, CPeruvian Silvino with Peruvian Hemingway, Pperuvian Caligula and 6Peruvian Accoyo Titan.
Once in a while, a male comes along whose fleece is so outrageously advanced that it's difficult to describe adequately. PBR Skyfall's Intense Belvedere is just a male with the makings of a truly elite, bundling fleece with 2019 EPDs (19.1 microns, SD 4.2, CV 21.9%) that is so spectacular. Belvedere is the son of mega-champion Springtoo Skyfall of Linden Hills and gorgeously spotted S More Spots. What makes him even more remarkable is that typey alpaca look with that gorgeous head (inherited from his sire, Springtoo Skyfall) and kicked-back attitude!!! Talk about rare? Belvedere's pedigree is one where you might
